Casa Lumini means “House of Light” – a home filled with art, warmth and welcome.

About Casa Lumini Guest House
Casa Lumini is a well-situated guest house in Carletonville, in South Africa’s Gauteng province. The name means “House of Light” and was inspired by Ikandla candles.
It says everything we want our home to be: warm, bright and welcoming. Over the years the art filled the walls, the guests filled the rooms, and the house filled with light. Opening our doors felt like the natural next step.
Today Casa Lumini offers luxurious en-suite rooms, facilities for small conferences and a choice of dinner, bed and breakfast options – so you can make your stay exactly what you need.
Home of Ikandla Candles
Casa Lumini is the home of the world-famous Ikandla hand-crafted candles, made by artist Lourina Coetzee.
Guests can see and experience her original works of art displayed in and around the guest house. Ask us about a piece that catches your eye – there’s usually a story behind it.
A home, not a hotel
Here you’ll find a host who remembers how you take your coffee, rooms decorated with pieces made or collected by hand, and a house that feels like your own.
Guests from as far as Sydney and as near as Witbank have told us the same thing – it feels like coming home.

Made by hand
Every corner of Casa Lumini carries something handmade: original paintings, rare artworks and textiles chosen with care.
Rich textures, antique furniture and Lourina’s own creations make each room unique – no two are the same.
Personally hosted
At Casa Lumini you’re a guest in a home, not a number in a hotel. Our friendly team is here to make every stay comfortable, personal and memorable.
